MODULE 1: M.A.T.E. Personal Assessment Profile: $99.00

WELCOME! Our first module in the JOURNEY TO SUPER PEOPLE SKILLS SERIES is entitled the M.A.T.E. Personal Assessment Profile. Most people find the M.A.T.E. PERSONAL ASSESSMENT an intriguing experience in understanding behavioral characteristics.
Why be interested in knowing where you fall among the different behavior patterns and styles? Perhaps the single most interesting reason is that it will say so much about who you are and how you come across to others. In any relationship, you are one-half of the relationship equation. It is critical to the success of any relationship to first understand your behavioral tendencies and how you interact and relate to others you are one-half of the relationship equation. It is critical to the success of any relationship to first understand your behavioral tendencies and how you interact and relate
It is also imperative to become more knowledgeable of the nature of your behavior and how to deal with the behavioral tendencies of others as realities. The discovery of alternatives and options for improving the relationship with other people is possible in ways you might not have been aware of in the past. Once equipped with this new knowledge, then you become attentive to gaining a more workable awareness and comprehension of your mate’s behavior—and ultimately, the broader scope of PEOPLE SKILLS activities with multiple people.
What you can learn here will enhance the ability to observe, process, analyze and confirm, more readily and efficiently, the behavior of those people close to you. This is most notable in those situations that before may have created misunderstanding and misinterpretations. This knowledge base allows for the modification in the approach toward others as circumstances dictate. A broader and more effective understanding leads to a better relationship. Here is our moderator to take you thru the steps of the M.A.T.E. PERSONAL ASSESSMENT.

MODULE 2: People Skills Overview: $99.00

SOCIAL MEDIA is a magnificent tool for the sharing of information. But technological growth through Social Media has put pressure increasingly on the development of social and relational skills, What was at one time spending personal time with friends in a face-to-face environment is now messaging them on Facebook, tagging them on Instagram, and twittering them on Twitter with two fingers on an electronic device or ten fingers on a computer. What social media has done is changed the entire platform from which we perceive interpersonal relationships. It has significantly changed the way we communicate and enjoy face-to-face connectivity.
The challenge we face today is to realize technology cannot effectively replace the social interaction craved by human beings. It is clear we are living in a culture that features diminishing people skills.
“What are people skills? The term people skills can be defined in both a singular (personal) and plural (communal) manner. Most definitions of people skills focus on personal interactions that generate positive connections. These connections with other human beings are done for both personal and professional reasons. None is more important than the desire for social interaction.
People skills, therefore, is a broad term that encompasses the use of personal and communal skillfulness to achieve an individual or collective goal. For our purposes, the emphasis is on personal social-relational skills like approachability, relational goals, listening, asking questions, word usage, tone of voice, body language, activity management, networking, and a long list of personal traits that define entities like character and reputation.
We believe significant progress in the “people business” holds the key to enjoying greater prosperity in life. The intent is to create a personal presence that can powerfully affect the interaction people have with each other, whether it is on a personal or professional level.

Module 3: Role of Interpersonal Relationships: $99.00

The discussion has focused on why relationships are important, but here’s the direct question: do you believe they are important to you? What are your thoughts on having a universal responsibility toward your fellow person? Would you concur that the greatest source of earthly strength we humans can possess is each other?
Relationships are essential to the well-being of all humanity. We, humans are social creatures. Human nature craves human interaction, and technology cannot effectively replace that interaction. It is encumbered upon us to realize that we have an obligation not only to ourselves but to the broader scope of society.
The comprehensive nature of human beings would tell us we should turn this universal responsibility into reality. This calls for understanding basic principles, communication skills, and techniques that are inextricably intertwined with personal attributes like broad-mindedness, a compassionate heart, a caring attitude, patience, tolerance, forbearance, and forgiveness.
Reflect a moment on how many of these abundant attributes are a part of your life. How are doing in this area of developing and building social skills? How about growing deeper and more meaningful relationships? There is no more powerful demonstration of a sound sense of being than your willingness to give yourself completely over to interactions with others through generosity, sensitivity, and empathy. This creates an innate capacity for developing many and varied connections and relationships with all kinds of people.

MODULE 4: Relational-Builders: $99.00

This section focuses on gaining or refurbishing social skills that will make you more effective in establishing relationships and making connections. Our initial attention is given to how to become more approachable when you first meet someone and ways to make a great first impression.
We then turn our attention to the importance of empathy. Experts in the psychological field have identified three types of empathy: Cognitive, Emotional, and Compassionate. All these forms of empathy are clearly evident in different ways and are important to understand in developing people skills.
Ego drive refers to a special need to achieve—a means of gaining satisfaction that comes from wanting and needing to do a good job personally—apart and aside from any monetary gain. Those with a great deal of empathy and a strong ego drive put themselves in a position to succeed with almost any kind of person.
Ego strength acts as a trigger—as a motivation to keep us going when we would rather turn tail and run. Without the bounce-back ability supplied by ego strength, we can find ourselves on an emotional roller coaster.
The concept of rapport implies the necessity of “disengaging the tension” that can exist between two people. It is a bonding process that starts with listening.
In our last session in this module, we talk about the role of humor. Because it is used widely and is universally accepted, humor exerts an important influence over the development of people skills.. As someone as so aptly stated, “Humor can serve as a ‘social radar’ by attracting and connecting with like-minded people.”

MODULE 5: People Skills Development: $149.00

We believe this is our most informative module. It focuses on the skills that must be internalized for maximum success in people skills development. These are the interpersonal skills that expand presence and help step into the real people world with long-term, foundation-based people skills.
Developing and improving social skills serves to possess better acceptance, appreciation, and authenticity. It may call for focusing on a new channel of thinking. There is no quick fix that is going to repair any weaknesses, but through application and practice, the element of improvement will be highly evident.
Here are the skills covered with care and emphasis in this module:
____Listening skills
____Questioning techniques
____Effectiveness of the tone of voice
____Overall word choice and usage
____Use of positive, upbeat language
____Understanding body language in the communication process
____Thought process “being where you are” when communicating.
This module is full of real social skill nuggets. Are you ready to spend time transforming people skills that will create greater value in the social world? How about doing the things that bring internal security? How about expanding and growing present social skills? How about developing the type of value that makes you more valuable to the outside world?

MODULE 6: Time and Activity Management: $99.00

The information in this module is not new unless it is new to you. One of life’s highest purposes is to be good stewards of callings, gifts, and talents. You need goals and plans for utilizing your time to maximize activities that lead to fulfilling your people skills, making new connections, and building relationships.
In every area of social life, goals and time management, factors of planning, scheduling, and prioritizing will help you succeed. These factors create stability and internalize inspiration. Without the benefit of them, you will have trouble growing people skills.
The secret to being well organized is to have:
· A goal to provide a vision of what to do and be...
· A plan to give direction for how to do it...
· A schedule to help determine when to do it...
· Priorities to determine the most effective use of time.

MODULE 7: Emotional Development and Personal Social Traits: $99.00

Module seven focuses on the role emotional control plays in People Skills Development. One of the more impressive things about those with an elevated degree of social savvy is their emotional control. While they experience the depth and breadth of varied emotions, they have a good handle on them. They have an element of consistency that brings balance to their emotional life.
This doesn’t mean those with a high emotional intelligence always refrain from having their negative emotional moments.” They experience them, but they do not let them take over—they don’t dwell on them. They deal with the negatives, then move on to more constructive feelings.
Neither do those who experience great emotional control get too over-charged. They have a calmness and easiness about themselves that serves to keep their equilibrium amid those pressure-cooker type situations arising in people situations. They exercise composure in those situations where a constraint is vital to experiencing high grades on people skills.
A high emotional quotient (EQ) in dealing a variety of people will move one up the success ladder as quickly as a high IQ. It is great to have both, but broadly developed social personalities display immense emotional control and stability in their actions with people from all walks of life.
To enjoy significantly greater people skills success, it is essential to balance reason with emotion. It is precisely the ability to experience the entire range of human emotions at the right time, and to the right degree, that will affect social efforts positively.
As you probe your experiences, what has been the role emotions have played in your involvement with people from all walks of life? How are you doing in the areas of emotional control and stability? Are emotions working for or against you? Are emotions your best servant or worst enemy?
